Description
The LABOTRIX MECHANO P2 physics kit is a set of equipment for studying classical mechanics, the molecular structure of matter and thermal processes in the secondary school physics course. It is used during demonstrations in physics lessons and for laboratory research, allowing students to study kinematics, dynamics, the properties of liquids and gases, and thermal phenomena. The equipment is intended for group and individual experiments in STEM and science classrooms, and is suitable both for demonstration by the teacher and for a student’s own laboratory work. The recommended age of students is from 10 years, that is grade 5 and above, and the class works with the instruments under the supervision of a teacher.
The kit combines classical measuring instruments with specialised equipment for experiments and contains 50 main components made of metal, wood, plastic and heat-resistant glass; the scales are printed clearly and contrastingly and remain readable from the back rows of the classroom. The demonstration ruler carries a 100 cm scale and the metal student ruler 30 cm, the measuring cylinders are 50 ml and 100 ml, the graduated beaker is 100 ml, and the laboratory thermometer covers the range from -10 to +100 degrees Celsius. Forces are measured with a 2 N demonstration dynamometer and a 5 N dynamometer; the weights with two hooks are 50 g and 100 g, 3 pcs of each nominal value, and the set of adjustable weights covers the range from 50 g to 500 g. The kit includes two springs of different stiffness, a universal stand with 2 clamps and 3 couplings, and needs no power supply; the operating temperature range is from +10 to +35 degrees Celsius, the service life is 5 years and the warranty period is 12 months. Marking and operating documentation are in Ukrainian, and the marking carries the trade mark, the model and a space for the inventory number.
The set includes a universal physical stand, a clamp for the stand – 2 pcs, a coupling for the stand – 3 pcs, a vernier caliper, a set of adjustable weights from 50 g to 500 g, a weight with two hooks 50 g – 3 pcs, a weight with two hooks 100 g – 3 pcs, a triple pulley block, springs of different stiffness, a demonstration stiff one and a soft one – 2 pcs, a set of bodies of equal mass, a set of bodies for calorimetry and of equal volume, a set of bodies of irregular shape, a low laboratory beaker with a scale and a pouring spout, heat-resistant glass, 100 ml, the same beaker 250 ml, a measuring cylinder with a spout and a plastic base, glass, 50 ml, the same cylinder 100 ml, a glass beaker 100 ml, a stopwatch, a steel metal ball, an aluminium metal ball with a hook, a nylon cord, portable electronic scales, a chute 10 cm, a chute 50 cm, a metal protractor, a disc for studying rotational motion, a wooden block with a rubber pad and six holes for weights, a laboratory thermometer from -10 to +100 degrees Celsius, a test tube with a stopper, a test tube with a stopper and sand, a hydrometer, a rubber cord, a sachet of sodium salt, a capillary tube, a clamp – 2 pcs, a device for verifying the Boyle-Mariotte law, a Petri dish 90 mm in diameter and 20 mm high, a calorimeter, a cylindrical separating funnel, chemically resistant, graduated, glass, 60 ml, a suspended glass with a load, a plastic overflow glass 250 ml, a plastic glass 50 ml, a 2 N demonstration dynamometer, a 5 N dynamometer, a metal student ruler 30 cm – 2 pcs, a demonstration ruler with a scale 100 cm, a lever, a moulded tray, a storage box in the form of a plastic container for the sets, plasticine – 2 blocks, a plastic ball, filter paper – 1 pack, paper napkins – 1 pack, the passport with the warranty card, individual transport packaging, and the right of access to the online course with the AI assistant. A methodological guide describing the experiments with recommendations for the teacher is supplied with the kit.
The product is supplied with the right of access to an online teaching support course hosted in a learning management system and covering 70 academic hours, compiled for the current curricula of general secondary education in Ukraine. The materials are grouped into research modules in the subjects physics, biology, chemistry and STEM, and each topic contains a lesson plan, a list of the required equipment, a scenario for conducting the experiment, a step-by-step laboratory work instruction with an explanation of the expected result, a video demonstration of working techniques, and interactive exercises and tasks for independent study, suitable both for individual and for group work. All modules are compiled for this same equipment and tested on it, so the course runs along a direct chain from equipment to methodology to learning outcomes.
The kit includes an AI assistant built into the learning management system on retrieval-augmented generation. It selects research tasks and experiments matching the topic of the lesson, describes the procedure of the experiment step by step, identifies typical student errors and gives personalised recommendations for correcting them, adapts task difficulty to different levels of student preparation, supports students in compiling reports on research results and in structuring the conclusions drawn from experiments, and works on a localised knowledge base aligned with the national curriculum of Ukraine. The licence for the course and the software is valid for 12 months; content, interface and learning materials are in Ukrainian.
All components are placed in a specialised rigid container with a moulded tray, and the kit is delivered assembled and needs no setting up before use. Before work the instruments are inspected for damage, cracks, loose joints and deformation; glassware is handled carefully and any chipped or cracked item is set aside immediately. For experiments with heat the water is not brought to the boil, the optimal temperature being from +50 to +80 degrees Celsius, and hot vessels are held with tongs or a pad. External surfaces are wiped with a dry soft cloth, glassware is washed with warm water and a neutral detergent and rinsed with distilled water, and the scales are cleaned with a dry cloth only, without alcohol, solvents or abrasives. Store the kit in its rigid container in a dry closed room at a temperature from +5 to +40 degrees Celsius and relative humidity 80 % without condensation, protected from direct sunlight, vibration and mechanical impact.
