Description

The LABOTRIX DYNAMO K1 is a dynamics system for practical and demonstration experiments in physics on the kinematics and dynamics of rectilinear motion in general secondary education. With it students study uniform and uniformly accelerated motion of a body along an inclined plane, the action of forces under Newton’s first and second laws, the conservation of momentum and energy, and elastic and inelastic impacts. The reduced friction of the cart and track pair raises the accuracy of measurement and brings the results of the experiments closer to theoretical calculation. The system serves a demonstration in front of the class and an individual student workstation alike.

The base of the system is an aluminium guide track of rectangular section, 1.3 m long, carrying a millimetre measuring scale with a division of 1 mm for reading the distance travelled, and its inclination is adjustable from 0 to 45 degrees. Two carts of reinforced plastic run along the track on low-friction wheels, which gives a smooth and even travel. The design accepts external digital sensors — force sensors, position sensors and optical photogates — and the signal reaches the photogates from the light barriers, the flags mounted on the carts; two photogate holders and two cart stops are part of the system. The pulley and the fixed block are of metal with a plastic coating, the two springs are calibrated to different stiffness, and the additional weights come as a set of 250 g and 500 g. Kapron thread for attaching the loads is included. The system needs no power supply, stands on a laboratory or demonstration bench in the physics classroom, and works indoors at an air temperature of +5 to +40 °C and a relative humidity of 40 to 60 % without condensation. The service life is 5 years and the warranty period is 12 months.

The set includes an aluminium profile guide track with a millimetre measuring scale, two plastic carts, an adjustable pulley mount, an inclination adjuster, a stationary support column for fixing the track, a pulley for systems with hanging loads, a fixed block, a device for studying elastic and inelastic collisions, a bumper ring for collisions, a set of light barriers (flags) for the photogate sensors, two photogate sensor holders, two cart stops, two calibrated springs of different stiffness, a set of four additional weights of 250 g each, eight hanging weights of different masses, a set of counterweights for balancing the system, a reel of kapron thread with a case for storing it, a mounting set of connections, a passport with a warranty card, individual transport packaging, and an access licence to the online course with the language model assistant. The system is delivered fully assembled and needs no assembly before first use; sensors and measuring equipment are purchased separately.

Together with the product comes the right of access to an online teaching support course hosted in a learning management system and designed for 70 academic hours of lessons, compiled to the current curricula of Ukrainian general secondary education. The materials are grouped into research modules in physics, biology, chemistry and STEM, and each topic carries a lesson plan, a list of the equipment needed, a scenario for the experiment, a step-by-step laboratory work instruction with an explanation of the expected result, a video demonstration of working techniques, interactive exercises and tasks for independent study, fit for individual and for group work alike. All modules are compiled for this same equipment and tested on it, so the course runs along a direct chain from equipment to methodology to learning results.

The kit includes an AI assistant built into the learning management system on retrieval-augmented generation. It selects research tasks and experiments matching the topic of the lesson, describes the procedure of the experiment step by step, identifies typical student errors and gives personalised recommendations for correcting them, adapts task difficulty to different levels of student preparation, supports students in compiling reports on research results and in structuring the conclusions drawn from experiments, and works on a localised knowledge base aligned with the national curriculum of Ukraine. The licence for the course and the software is valid for 12 months; content, interface and learning materials are in Ukrainian. The assistant draws on the course knowledge base built for this system, so the experiments it offers are the ones this track, its carts, springs and photogate holders can carry out.

The track is placed on a level, stable surface and checked for rocking before work, the inclination adjuster is set to zero for horizontal experiments and raised gradually to the angle required, and the angle is changed only after the carts have come to a stop. Stops are placed at both ends of the track to arrest the carts, the pulley is fastened firmly at the end of the track with the adjustable mount and checked for free rotation, and the kapron thread is tested for strength before each experiment. The work is led by a physics teacher or another specialist with practical knowledge of mechanics, and students work under the direct supervision of a teacher who has instructed them in occupational safety; hands are kept away from the zone of cart movement and from under the track during an experiment. Deformed or torn springs are replaced at once and springs are not compressed excessively. The track is wiped with a dry soft cloth once a week, the carts are cleaned with a dry brush, connections, screws and stops are checked monthly and the travel of the carts quarterly. The product is intended for educational work under the supervision of a teacher and is recommended for students aged 10 and older, that is grade 5 and above.
