A student workstation set of heat-resistant glassware, dissecting instruments, microscopy slides and human physiology aids for biology laboratory and practical work, supplied with a 70-hour digital course in an LMS and a built-in AI assistant.

Description

This set of laboratory glassware and accessories equips an individual student workstation for biology lessons. With it students prepare and examine microscope specimens, study the external and internal structure of plant and animal organisms, and perform practical exercises in human physiology — they measure muscle strength, test the ability of the eye to accommodate, detect the blind spot and record other indicators of their own body.

The product is manufactured under the Labotrix trade mark, model Glassware B2, full trade designation LABOTRIX GLASSWARE B2, by Labotrix Group Limited, China. The glass components are made of heat-resistant glass, the mortar and pestle of porcelain, and the small accessories of metal and polymers. The laboratory beakers hold 50 and 100 ml, the microscope slides measure 25 x 75 mm in packs of 50, the cover glasses 24 x 24 mm in packs of 100, the Petri dish is 90 mm in diameter and 20 mm high, the porcelain mortar with pestle is 90 mm in diameter, and the metal laboratory tray with a wax coating measures 310 x 210 x 42 mm. Personal protective equipment comprises safety goggles and latex gloves in 3 pairs, and the consumables and reagents supplied are distilled water 250 ml, iodine solution 5 % of 20 ml, filter paper, gauze and cotton wool. The set is packed in a moulded lodgement insert inside a storage box, arrives fully assembled and requires no preliminary assembly, and is stored in that box at the student workstation or in the laboratory assistant’s room. It operates indoors in an educational institution at an air temperature of +5 to +40 °C and a relative humidity of 40 to 60 % without condensation. Marking and operating documentation are in Ukrainian, the marking carries the trade mark, the model and a space for an inventory number, and the documentation set comprises the passport with the warranty card and the operating instruction. Metal and porcelain parts may be wiped with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The components can also be used together with digital sensors for measurements. The service life is 5 years and the warranty period is 12 months.

The set includes low-form laboratory beakers with a scale and a pouring spout, heat-resistant glass, 50 ml and 100 ml; a spatula spoon, metal, 150 mm; Pasteur pipettes, polymer, 3 ml and 5 ml; stirring rods, glass, 200 mm — 3 pcs; safety goggles, plastic; protective gloves, textured latex — 3 pairs; brushes for laboratory glassware, d=13 mm and d=20 mm; a dissecting instrument set with a magnifier, 10 items; microscope slides with ground edges, 25×75 mm, 50 pcs per pack; cover glasses, 24×24 mm, 100 pcs per pack; a Petri dish, d=90 mm, h=20 mm; a mortar with a pestle, porcelain, d=90 mm; filter paper, d=90 mm, 100 pcs per pack; gauze, 1 m; medical cotton wool, 25 g; a laboratory tray, metal with wax, 310x210x42 mm; a medical tourniquet, 450×25 mm; a hand expander; a hand dynamometer; a card for determining eye accommodation; cards for detecting the blind spot — 2 pcs; distilled water, 250 ml; iodine, 5 %, 20 ml; a lodgement; a label; a storage box (a plastic container for sets); a methodical guide for the teacher and for the student; the passport with the warranty card; individual transport packaging; and the access right to the online course with the language-model assistant.

The product is supplied with the right of access to an online teaching support course hosted in a learning management system (LMS) and designed for 70 academic hours of lessons. The course follows the current curricula of general secondary education institutions of Ukraine, and its materials are grouped into research modules in physics, biology, chemistry and STEM; each topic contains a lesson plan, a list of the equipment required, a scenario for conducting the experiment, a step-by-step instruction for the laboratory work with an explanation of the expected result, a video demonstration of working techniques, and interactive exercises and assignments for independent study, suitable for both individual and group work. All modules are written for this equipment and tested on it, so the course follows a direct chain from equipment to methodology to learning outcomes. Work with the course develops attention, logical and visual thinking and creative ability, while joint research assignments build cooperation skills as students work through the material alone or in groups. The kit includes an AI assistant built into the learning management system on retrieval-augmented generation. It selects research tasks and experiments matching the topic of the lesson, describes the procedure of the experiment step by step, identifies typical student errors and gives personalised recommendations for correcting them, adapts task difficulty to different levels of student preparation, supports students in compiling reports on research results and in structuring the conclusions drawn from experiments, and works on a localised knowledge base aligned with the national curriculum of Ukraine. The licence for the course and the software is valid for 12 months; content, interface and learning materials are in Ukrainian.

Students work with the set under the supervision of a biology teacher or a laboratory assistant who has given the safety briefing; the recommended age of learners is from 10 years, that is grade 5 and above. Glassware and slides are inspected before every use and any item with cracks or chips is withdrawn and set aside for disposal; washing is done with warm water without abrasives. Slides and cover glasses are held by their edges, broken glass is cleared away in protective gloves, dissecting instruments are passed handle first and returned to the set immediately after use. Iodine solution is applied carefully to avoid contact with skin, mucous membranes and clothing and is washed off with water if it does; the medical tourniquet is applied only briefly and under the teacher’s supervision, and the expander and dynamometer are used without excessive effort. Goggles and gloves are worn for all work with reagents. The set is stored in a dry shaded place at +5 to +40 °C and a relative humidity of 80 %, on shelves or in cabinets protected from vibration, with items of different sizes separated by soft spacers and the slides and cover glasses kept in their original packaging apart from the rest of the set.
