Laboratory Stand “Introduction and Diagnostics of Faults in Three-Phase Induction Motors with Squirrel-Cage Rotor”

The stand allows users to study and diagnose faults in three-phase induction motors with squirrel-cage rotors. It provides practical experience in identifying and troubleshooting common motor issues.

Description

Electrical Installation Complex

The electrical installation complex is designed to facilitate laboratory work focused on modeling and studying malfunctions in three-phase asynchronous electric motors. It provides practical experience in diagnosing different types of electrical faults and understanding motor behavior under fault conditions.

Laboratory Work Enabled by the Unit

The unit allows you to carry out the following laboratory work:

  • Modeling a short circuit of a phase to the housing.
  • Modeling of inter-turn shorting of the phase winding.
  • Modeling of a phase winding break.
  • Modeling of inter-phase shorting of phase windings.
  • Incorrect winding connection.

Using the simulator, you can study the main types of malfunctions of three-phase asynchronous electric motors, including:

  • Simulation of a short circuit of phase U to the housing.
  • Simulation of a short circuit of phase V to the housing.
  • Simulation of a short circuit of phase W to the housing.
  • Simulation of inter-turn shorting of phase U winding.
  • Simulation of inter-turn shorting of phase V winding.
  • Simulation of inter-turn shorting of phase W winding.
  • Simulation of phase U winding break.
  • Simulation of phase V winding break.
  • Simulation of phase W winding break.
  • Simulation of phase-to-phase shorting of windings of phases U and V.
  • Simulation of phase-to-phase shorting of windings of phases U and W.
  • Simulation of phase-to-phase shorting of windings of phases V and W.
  • Simulation of improper connection of phase windings.

Each type of electric motor malfunction is controlled by a separate toggle switch, allowing you to create combinations of several malfunctions for comprehensive study and analysis.
