A teacher’s demonstration kit for assembling electrical circuits and studying electricity and magnetism in general secondary education, supplied with a 70-hour digital course and an AI assistant.

Description

The LABOTRIX ELECTRO E3 demonstration kit for the study of electricity is a teacher’s set of equipment for physics in general secondary education. It is designed for the visual demonstration of the basic principles of electricity and magnetism, the assembly of electrical circuits of various configurations, and the investigation of the operation of electrical circuits and their components, and is used for demonstration and practical work under the science curriculum. The recommended age of students is from 10 years, that is grade 5 and above; the demonstrations are conducted by the physics teacher in the presence of an adult responsible for the safety of the students.

The kit is built on a modular design with connecting elements for the rapid assembly of a variety of circuits and covers 47 component positions, including passive and active components, power sources, a transformer and various loads. Fixed resistors are supplied in the nominal values 1 ohm, 10 ohm, 47 ohm, 100 ohm, 470 ohm, 1 kohm, 4.7 kohm, 10 kohm, 20 kohm, 100 kohm and 1 Mohm, and the variable resistors are 1 kohm, 10 kohm and 100 kohm together with a 1 kohm trimmer. Non-polar capacitors are 510 pF, 0.001 uF, 0.01 uF and 0.1 uF, and the electrolytic capacitors run from 1 uF to 470 uF. The transformer converts 220 V AC to 6 V AC, and the circuit is powered either from the 3 V battery or from the 6 V AC secondary winding. All elements are made to an industrial standard and are suitable for repeated use in a learning environment. Operating conditions are the premises of an educational institution at an air temperature from +5 to +40 degrees Celsius and relative humidity from 40 to 60 % without condensation; the service life is 5 years and the warranty period is 12 months, and marking and operating documentation are in Ukrainian.

The set includes a connecting element – 50 pcs, a 1 ohm resistor, a 10 ohm resistor – 2 pcs, a 47 ohm resistor, a 100 ohm resistor – 2 pcs, a 470 ohm resistor, a 1 kohm resistor – 2 pcs, a 4.7 kohm resistor, a 10 kohm resistor, a 20 kohm resistor – 2 pcs, a 100 kohm resistor, a 1 Mohm resistor, a 1 kohm variable resistor, a 10 kohm variable resistor, a 100 kohm variable resistor, a 1 kohm trimmer resistor, non-polar capacitors of 510 pF, 0.001 uF, 0.01 uF and 0.1 uF, electrolytic capacitors of 1 uF, 4.7 uF, 10 uF, 47 uF, 100 uF and 470 uF, a 1N4001 rectifier diode – 3 pcs, a 1N914 rectifier diode – 3 pcs, a PNP 2N3906 bipolar transistor – 3 pcs, an NPN 2N3904 bipolar transistor – 3 pcs, a coil of 200 turns, a coil of 300 turns, a coil of 600 turns, a transformer with a 220 V AC primary winding and a 6 V AC secondary winding, a 3 V direct current electric motor, a 2.5 V incandescent lamp, a 3 V galvanic cell battery, a 3 V loudspeaker, a straight conductor – 4 pcs, a straight conductor with a terminal – 4 pcs, an angled conductor – 4 pcs, an angled conductor with a terminal – 4 pcs, a T-shaped conductor junction – 4 pcs, a T-shaped conductor junction with a terminal – 4 pcs, an X-shaped conductor junction – 2 pcs, an X-shaped conductor junction with a terminal – 2 pcs, a terminal for connecting an ammeter – 2 pcs, a storage box with compartments for each type of component, a printed methodological guide for conducting demonstration experiments, the passport with the warranty card, individual transport packaging, and the right of access to the online course with the AI assistant.

The product is supplied with the right of access to an online teaching support course hosted in a learning management system and covering 70 academic hours, compiled for the current curricula of general secondary education in Ukraine. The materials are grouped into research modules in the subjects physics, biology, chemistry and STEM, and each topic contains a lesson plan, a list of the required equipment, a scenario for conducting the experiment, a step-by-step laboratory work instruction with an explanation of the expected result, a video demonstration of working techniques, and interactive exercises and tasks for independent study, suitable both for individual and for group work. All modules are compiled for this same equipment and tested on it, so the course runs along a direct chain from equipment to methodology to learning outcomes.

The kit includes an AI assistant built into the learning management system on retrieval-augmented generation. It selects research tasks and experiments matching the topic of the lesson, describes the procedure of the experiment step by step, identifies typical student errors and gives personalised recommendations for correcting them, adapts task difficulty to different levels of student preparation, supports students in compiling reports on research results and in structuring the conclusions drawn from experiments, and works on a localised knowledge base aligned with the national curriculum of Ukraine. The licence for the course and the software is valid for 12 months; content, interface and learning materials are in Ukrainian.

The components are stored in a box with a compartment for each type and are ready for immediate use without additional preparation. Before each demonstration the components are checked for mechanical damage, cracked housings and damaged wire insulation, and the circuit is verified before the power is switched on. The maximum circuit voltage on battery power is 3 V; the lamp, the electric motor and the loudspeaker are connected to the 6 V AC secondary winding of the transformer only through a current-limiting resistor from the kit. The primary winding of the transformer is connected to the 220 V AC mains, so the transformer is placed safely out of reach of the students, the circuit is never altered while the power is on, and an energised circuit is never left unattended. Electrolytic capacitors are connected observing the polarity marking, diodes and transistors are kept within their rated current and voltage, and the motor and the loudspeaker are allowed to cool after prolonged operation. Housings and contacts are wiped with a dry soft cloth, oxidation on metal contacts is removed with an eraser, and abrasives and solvents are not used.
