Specifications
I. Working principle
The photoelectric door is also called a photoelectric switch. It consists of an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver. The transmitter emits external pulses at a certain frequency. When the receiver receives this signal, it outputs a high level; due to external objects (such as light shields) When the infrared pulse is blocked by the photoelectric gate so that the receiving end cannot receive the signal, a low level is output, and the collector calculates the time it takes for the external object to pass through the photoelectric gate, thereby timing.

IV.Typical applications
Photogate sensor is a sensor widely used in various physical experiments. It is suitable for conservation of momentum and mechanical energy; measuring speed, acceleration and gravity acceleration; collision experiments, etc.
V.Caution
This product is suitable for educational use only and is not suitable for industrial, medical, research, or commercial applications.
VI.Usage Tips
- Before the experiment, the moving object should pass through the photoelectric gate several times to ensure that it moves smoothly and can effectively block light.
- When using this sensor, if the light in the environment around the experiment is too strong, its sensitivity will be affected.
- The photogate sensor uses high-precision photosensitive elements to form a continuous light path. By measuring the time the object (light shield) blocks the light path and combining it with its width value, the speed of the object’s movement can be calculated.
- When multiple photogate sensors are used at the same time, it can not only measure the time when the light barrier passes through each photogate, but also can measure the time when the light barrier runs between the photogates.
- The photoelectric gate sensor (double hole) and the color screen double photoelectric gate sensor have the same principles and usage methods.
